====================================================

1/ Command :

  • LAYER

2/ Description : This tool allows you to quickly change the layer of selected objects by simply pressing a number key.

  • Function: It is designed for high-speed drafting. Instead of using the layerdown menu, you can move objects to layers 0 through 10 using single keystrokes.

  • Requirement: Layers named "0", "1", "2"... up to "10" must already exist in the drawing for this to work.

  • Layer 0 Shortcut: Since 0 might be used for other command inputs, the backtick key (`/~) (located to the left of the 1 key) is used to switch objects to Layer 0.

3/ How to Use :

  1. Select the object(s) you want to modify.

  2. Press the number key corresponding to the target layer (e.g., press 1 for Layer 1, 2 for Layer 2, etc.).

  3. To move objects to Layer 0, press the ` (backtick) key.

    • Note: You can also type the number/command first and then select the objects, but "Pre-select > Key" is the faster, intended workflow.
