1/ Command :

  • EXX



2/ Description :
This tool allows you to extend or shorten the length of selected lines by a specific value.

  • Batch Operation: You can select multiple lines at once using a crossing selection (two points) to modify all their endpoints simultaneously.

  • Positive/Negative Values: Entering a positive value extends the lines, while entering a negative value shortens them.

  • Compatibility: This is a dedicated CADian Lisp tool and works only within CADian.


3/ How to Use :

  1. Type exx in the command line and press Enter.

  2. Click Two Points to create a crossing selection window over the ends of the line(s) you want to modify.

  3. Enter the Value to extend or shorten by and press Enter.

    • Example: Enter 35 to extend the lines by 35 units.

    • Example: Enter -30 to shorten the lines by 30 units.

  4. The selected lines are immediatelyd to the new length.
